The rest of Pesach/my travels went well. DC was super fun, great hanging out with Mom, seeing friends who live there... Only saw Dad for a bit since he was still in Florida when I got there, then went to Pittsburgh to visit Nanny over Shabbas. Please keep her in your prayers, Naomi bat Shayna.
Sunday through Tuesday I was outside Baltimore for a work conference. Always fun to meet other camp people, so that was great. We stayed at this great conference center,
Pearlstone. Wasn't crazy impressed with the food, but the rooms were gorgeous. Had a fun time, met some cool people, delicious chocolate milk in the area... :)
It's always interesting to read what people choose to post online on their blogs,
friendster/
facebook/
myspace profiles...(btw, here's my friendster
profile). Some people seem to have no filter at all, writing about everything that happens to them, everything they think. While I do admire their openness, I also question the wisdom in putting such personal things out there, where anyone can read it. Do they seriously think it's a good idea to write about their sex life, drugs, everything? I'm so super sensitive to the fact that this is a public space. I know I've had campers that read this, I know that even strangers sometimes read this...
And speaking of strangers reading 'randomness', this kid randomly e-mailed me and asked me to put up a link to his blog (using the word "kid" loosely since I have no idea of his age). I haven't read all his post, but from what I've skimmed it basically seems to be anti-Bush rhetoric. Since clearly I'm not such a huge fan of our current president, and, hell, he asked, here it is:
Empires Fall.
The Rebbetzin of my shul,
Anshe Shalom called and asked me if I can host this girl for Shabbas. While it's a bad weekend for me, I told her to call me if she can't find anyone else. Soooo, I need to go clean up this apartment of mine. :)
