randomness...: April 2008

My opinions, updates on my life, all sorts of "randomness"...

I can't believe how horrible I've been about posting!!! This has hands down been the best year (well, 6 months) of my life, and I haven't written about it... Sorry!!

Marc & I have been together for almost 6 months now, and it's been absolutely amazing.

We met when we were in Israel Freshman year on Nativ (how crazy is the then/now pic??!) He's really an amazing guy, and we just compliment each other perfectly. He's living in Boulder now, working as a youth director at a synagogue, so we've been doing the long distance thing. Not for much longer though! He got in to the Pardes Educators Program, so we'll be spending the next 2 years in Israel. I still don't have a job there, so if anyone has any leads, let me know!

Really looking forward to Pesach...Marc's joining us down in Florida for the first days, then he's coming to Chicago for the second days. I found some great recipes that I'm looking forward to trying out, although the cleaning part isn't going as well as I would like...shocker, right?

Work has been great. Been working for Shorashim and totally loving it. Going to staff a few trips this summer. I've staffed 4 trips now and I still love it! Even going to the same places again hasn't gotten old, since the participants always change. Reminds me so much of working at camps.

So on a totally unrelated note, my favorite new product is these reusable shopping bags, ChicoBags. Marc & I found them at this cute little book shop in Boulder, and now I always keep one in my purse! Check them out!
"ChicoBags can save the average American 300 to 700 plastic bags per year, which will save 3 to 7 gallons of crude oil. A population of 100,000 people can save u to 14,000 barrels of oil per year using reusable bags."
