Shana Tova! Happy New Year! The whole fam was in Pittsburgh for the holiday, which was so nice. These days we're barely all together, and since I'll be in Europe over Thanksgiving, I'm not sure when the next time will be...but it was great to see everyone!
I know I've been counting down for awhile, but it feels like 'all of a sudden' there's only a week till I leave, and so much that I have have to do! A little overwhelming, but exciting...
Back in Chi Town....
I laid out what I'm planning on bringing with me on my adventure, put everything in my pack, and weighed it....almost 40 pounds....damn. Think I'm hardcore enough for that?
In the good old WB, staying with Kimmie & Bryan. Shira Chaya's birthday party was today, hence my trip to Michigan. I can't believe she's 3 years old...and Ari has gotten so big, Shira's being a great big sister...and pregnant Jenny was there, and Julie was there with her 6 week old son...it's all a little surreal. Played around with my fabulous new camera, the Canon Digital Rebel. Yup, I finally did it, after years of talking about it. And as expected, it's amazing.
Less than a month till Europe...
Well kids, I did it. I now have plane tickets for my little adventure, so it's really happening! I leave for Israel (from Detroit, so I can give Joshy my car) on October 4th, then it's off to London on October 17th, then back to Detroit on December 19th. So there it is...more planning to follow (ie when specifically I'll be where), still looking for suggestions/places to stay/people to travel with!
So my trip is starting to come together...As of now the countries that have made the cut are,
drum roll please...England, Italy, Greece, France, Spain, and The Netherlands. So if you have ideas for places to go in those countries (or a really strong argument for why I should go to a country not on "The List"), let me know. Tentative dates: Nov 4-17--Israel, November 17-December 18--Europe.
